The 3-Day Intensive for individuals is conducted by Dudley Bienvenu, LCSW and is ideal for those who are looking for…
- More focused, in-depth, and intensive care than weekly counseling can provide
- Immediate help with a serious or critical issue or situation
- A deeper understanding of why they do what they do and why they cannot seem to stop doing it
Based on my experience, completing a 3-day intensive is the approximate equivalent to attending 6 to 9 months of weekly therapy appointments.
Some of my typical clients have included people who were struggling with issues associated with: extramarital affairs, compulsive-addictive behavior, sexual issues, anger problems, abuse, traumatic experiences, grief and loss, depression, anxiety and panic attacks, mid-life crisis, ministry burnout, and those who were just feeling stuck in life situations wanting change.
Utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic techniques and methods I have learned over 37 years and 35,000 hours as a therapist, my goal is to help people find healing, peace, and freedom by identifying and working through unresolved issues that are the root cause of problematic behavior patterns, unwanted symptoms, and repetitive destructive cycles in their lives and relationships.
Structure:
Each person is unique, so every intensive is individualized. The structure includes 5.5 to 6 hours of actual face to face counseling time and 2 to 2.5 hours of counselor preparation and treatment planning per day. A typical schedule would be counseling sessions with short breaks as needed from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, a lunch and rest break for two and a half hours, and then counseling again from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Exact times during each day are flexible.
The counseling sessions are typically done in Dudley’s office at Bienvenu Counseling Services unless otherwise requested and negotiated. (Note: Under certain conditions, Dudley is willing to come to your location, state, or country. In such cases, fees are increased depending on individual circumstances of client and counselor schedule and associated costs.) When individuals do their intensives in Lafayette, whether from out of area or local residents, in order to receive maximum benefit from the experience, it is strongly recommended that accommodations are made at a nearby hotel.
What is the cost?
The cost is $2,000 a day for 3 days = $6,000 (or counselor time charged at $250 per hour for 8 hours a day). A $2,000 deposit is required to book a date which becomes non-refundable seven days prior to the start date. Another $2,000 is due on the first day, with the balance of $2,000 due upon completion. At the current time discounts and scholarships are not available.
Each 3-Day Intensive is individualized to meet specific needs and goals of each client and is done with one person over three consecutive days. They can be scheduled over any three consecutive days depending on client preference and counselor availability.
(Note: Similar multi-day intensives are also offered by three of our other clinicians: Jere Miles, Barry Bouillion, and Dawn Bouillion. Though similar, their intensives utilize different structures and therapeutic methods and fees vary according to time and counselor. More information can be provided upon request).
