    Meet Our Counselors

    Kristy Suire, MA, LCPC

    Photo of Therapist, Kristy SuireKristy Suire is a Licensed Christian Counselor with over 20 years of experience serving individuals and families in the Acadiana area. She holds a bachelor’s degree from LSU in Family, Child, and Consumer Sciences with a minor in Sociology, and a master’s degree in Christian Counseling, along with certification in Temperament Therapy.

    After taking time away from private practice, Kristy felt called back to the work where she has always been most effective-walking alongside others in the counseling setting. She is passionate about helping clients navigate life’s challenges with compassion, practical guidance, and a faith-based perspective.

    Kristy’s approach focuses on understanding each individual’s unique temperament and life experiences, creating a safe and supportive space for healing, growth, and renewed direction.

    Kristy’s counseling focus centers on supporting families with loved ones who are struggling with addiction or navigating recovery. She is especially passionate about working with women, college-aged young women, and high school girls facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, codependency, and trauma.

    In addition, Kristy brings personal experience to her work as an adoptive parent. Alongside her husband, Howard, she has adopted three children and is available to counsel and support adoptive families through their unique journeys.

    Jere Miles, MA, LCSW

    Jerelyn (Jere) Miles has worked at Bienvenu Counseling for over 25 years. Her career in counseling children & families, individuals, and couples expands over four decades, working with those in the faith community, court system , schools, juvenile justice and mental health systems and DCFS. She received her undergraduate training at the University of Nebraska and Masters Degree in Social Work from LSU. Jeres vast amount of training includes Eye Movement, Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Family Systems Theory and Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). In addition to this, her Chaplain and Critical Incident training enables her to work with those who find themselves in an critical life situation. She provides standard counseling services and also facilitates three-day Intensives for individuals, couples, and families. Jeres passion is to provide christian counseling services to individuals and couples experiencing marital discord, sexual trauma and betrayal, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, separation and divorce, behavior problems in children, PTSD and related trauma. She also enjoys her volunteer work with veterans and ladies in sober living.

    Dudley Bienvenu, MA, LCSW

    Founder and Director of Bienvenu Counseling Services, Dudley is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor with 40 years and over 40,000 hours of counseling experience. Having received both a BS in Psychology and a Masters in Social Work from Louisiana State University, his specialty areas include individual psychotherapy, marriage counseling, and substance abuse. In addition to providing standard individual and couple counseling, Dudley offers specialized 3-day intensives for couples and individuals who want or need rapid resolution to problems and issues, as well as individual psychoanalytic psychotherapy multiple times per week when requested. Dudley has authored four books and created numerous audio and video educational recourses that can be accessed free of charge on YouTube under “Bienvenu Counseling” or on this website, under “media”. He also conducts conferences and seminars on relationships, emotional intelligence, and trauma awareness on a regular basis (See Seminars and Resources). A native of Southwest Louisiana, he and his wife have been married for 40 years with two daughters and four grandchildren.
