    Meet Our Counselors

    Dudley Bienvenu, LCSW, BCPCC

    Founder and Director of Bienvenu Counseling Services, Dudley is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor, and Licensed Minister with over 35 years and over 30,000 hours of counseling experience. Having received both a BS in Psychology and a Masters in Social Work from Louisiana State University, his specialty areas include individual psychotherapy, marriage counseling, and substance abuse. In addition to providing standard individual and couple counseling, Dudley offers specialized 3-day intensives for couples and individuals who want or need rapid resolution to problems and issues, as well as individual psychotherapy multiple times per week when requested. Dudley has authored four books, created six DVD Small Group Studies, and conducts marriage conferences and enrichment seminars thru local churches and other venues on a regular basis (See Seminars and Resources). A native of Southwest Louisiana, he and his wife have been married for thirty-five years with two daughters and four grandchildren.

    Mike Crain, LAC, BCBC

    Mike is a Licensed Addictions Counselor for the past 36 years, a Board Certified Biblical Counselor for the past 12 years and an Ordained Deacon in the Diocese of Lafayette. Mike is a seasoned and gifted counselor with addictions, teenagers, and couples. He has received specialized education and training through courses offered by the American Association of Christian Counselors. He recently completed three different training modules for Emotionally Focused Therapy, a total of 72 hours, in order to work with couples seeking healing in troubled relationships. He has worked as a clinician and director in almost all types of treatment settings including outpatient, residential, and hospital-based programs. He has been a frequent public speaker at church sponsored and professional seminars on addictions, parenting, and communication in Southwest Louisiana, he has also presented at American Association of Christian Counselors International and Regional Conferences. Mike has been happily married for 30 years and has two sons ages 25 and 22.

    Jere Miles, LCSW, BCPCC

    A Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor and a skilled family therapist of over 30 years, Jere specializes in working with young children, adolescents & their families. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska and her Masters in Social Work from LSU. Jere’s vast amount of training includes Inner Healing through Ashland Theological Seminary; Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR); Recall Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Family and Marital Therapy. Her Chaplain training in Critical Incident Stress Management, PTSD, Trauma, Grief & Loss, Human Trafficking, Divorce, Depression, Suicide, Disaster Relief, Death Notification and Counseling, Confidentiality, Ethics & Law have helped her assist a variety of clients during her over 12 years with BCS.

    When Jere isn’t working, she enjoys providing chaplain/counseling services at a high school after-school program, leading women’s bible studies, and teaching discipleship and kids’ ministry classes. One of Jere’s other hobbies includes editing her husband’s books. She has been married over 35 years and is a proud mother and grandmother.

    Carol Peirce, LPC, BCPCC

    As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified Christian Counselor, Carol has a heart for helping people overcome the obstacles, traumas, and patterns that continue to hold them back from living life to the fullest. Carol’s specialty areas include trauma recovery, marriage counseling, and anxiety issues. She is Certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an approach that helps couples identify the negative patterns of interaction that lead to disconnection, and replace them with the steps needed to repair and reconnect. She also helps facilitate professional EFT training in Louisiana. For trauma recovery, Carol is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), which focuses on accessing and resolving traumatic experiences at their source. She is also trained in Trauma Resolution Therapy (TRT), a structured writing therapy, and has received training at Ashland Theological Seminary in Formational Prayer (Inner Healing Prayer). At their local church Carol and her husband have led Marriage Communication classes, retreats, seminars, and are the Lead Mentor Couple in the Marriage Mentoring program.

    She gladly welcomes clients at all stages of belief in their spiritual journey. To future clients, “I believe in helping you to accomplish your individual goals, not mine. Hopefully, I will listen carefully, respond thoughtfully and together we will construct a plan to help you heal and grow.”

    Jessica Foreman, MA, LPMFT

    Jessica Foreman is a Provisionally Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist from North Louisiana. She is passionate about helping her clients build stable, centered relationships with themselves and their loved ones. Jessica uses Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Gottman Couples Therapy with her clients. She believes that all people can have lives worth living and enjoys assisting her clients in developing skills for relaxation, emotion regulation, communication, connection, and self–care. Jessica received a BS in Family Science from Louisiana Tech , and an MA in Marriage and Family Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary. She is a self-described nerd who greatly enjoys reading research articles and really thick counseling books. She loves taking naps, drinking really good coffee, and watching Marvel movies with her husband and three children whom she lives with in Lafayette.
