Personal boundaries are necessary for maintaining a positive self-image and healthy relationships. They allow us to separate who we are, and what we think and feel, from the thoughts and feelings of others. Not only are they physical, emotional and mental limits we establish to protect ourselves from being manipulated, or violated by others, they are the means to preserve our integrity, take responsibility for our lives, and express our uniqueness in the world.
We will explore:
- The importance and impact of setting and maintaining healthy boundaries
- How to stop people pleasing and say “No” without guilt
- Practicing tough love when others do not respect your boundaries
- What it means to be your true self and how it’s different from being selfish
- How to be separate and connected
- Daring to live wholehearted in a broken world
