Barry is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He is a United States Marine Veteran. During his time in service, he served in various leadership roles and led his Marines in difficult situations. He learned to overcome adversity by facing his own challenges and by committing himself to a process of personal growth and development. He developed a desire to foster that same spirit in those he led. That desire to walk with others through difficult terrain and be a part of their personal growth and development led him into the field of counseling. Barry is trained in a number of areas of counseling. He does trauma recovery work with all populations, but has special interest in working with veterans and first responders. His primary mode of trauma therapy is ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), both experiential therapies. He does addiction recovery work and provides support and guidance to family members who have loved ones battling addiction. He has worked alongside addiction medicine doctors and in Inpatient and Outpatient settings. Barry works with men who struggle in areas more unique to men and has led and facilitated multiple men’s intensives. To learn more about Barry and what he has to offer you click here.
