A Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor and a skilled family therapist of over 30 years, Jere specializes in working with young children, adolescents & their families. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska and her Masters in Social Work from LSU. Jere’s vast amount of training includes Inner Healing through Ashland Theological Seminary; Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR); Recall Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Family and Marital Therapy. Her Chaplain training in Critical Incident Stress Management, PTSD, Trauma, Grief & Loss, Human Trafficking, Divorce, Depression, Suicide, Disaster Relief, Death Notification and Counseling, Confidentiality, Ethics & Law have helped her assist a variety of clients during her over 12 years with BCS.
When Jere isn’t working, she enjoys providing chaplain/counseling services at a high school after-school program, leading women’s bible studies, and teaching discipleship and kids’ ministry classes. One of Jere’s other hobbies includes editing her husband’s books. She has been married for over 35 years and is a proud mother and grandmother.
