Jerelyn (Jere) Miles has worked at Bienvenu Counseling for over 25 years. Her career in counseling children & families, individuals, and couples expands over four decades, working with those in the faith community, court system, schools, juvenile justice and mental health systems and DCFS. She received her undergraduate training at the University of Nebraska and Masters Degree in Social Work from LSU. Jeres vast amount of training includes Eye Movement, Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Family Systems Theory and Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). In addition to this, her Chaplain and Critical Incident training enables her to work with those who find themselves in an critical life situation. She provides standard counseling services and also facilitates three-day Intensives for individuals, couples, and families. Jeres passion is to provide christian counseling services to individuals and couples experiencing marital discord, sexual trauma and betrayal, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, separation and divorce, behavior problems in children, PTSD and related trauma. She also enjoys her volunteer work with veterans and ladies in sober living.
